At MenEssentials Corporation ("MenEssentials"), we believe that your personal information deserves protection. While you can visit MenEssentials.com (the "Web Site") without registering or providing any personal information, you will need to register if you want to make an online purchase, rate or review products, add items to a wish list, subscribe to our monthly newsletter, enter into contests or promotions, or participate in our online forums. The personal information we request is necessary to process your order or provide the online services you opt to receive.

What is personal information?
Personal information is information that refers to an individual specifically and is recorded in any form. Personal information includes such things as age, income, date of birth, ethnic origin, medical records and credit records. Information about individuals contained in the following documents is not considered personal information:

What does MenEssentials use your personal information for?
MenEssentials asks for your name, address, email address, and other personal information when you create an account online. You will also be asked for personal information when you make an online purchase, rate or review products, add items to a wish list, subscribe to our monthly newsletter, enter into contests or promotions, or participate in our online forums. This information is used to process your orders and to allow us to communicate with you. The information also enables MenEssentials to customize products or services to better meet your preferences and to offer you products and services from MenEssentials that may be of interest to you.

MenEssentials may also use personal account information and data collected through your personal identification to generate statistics and aggregate reports for internal use and for sharing with subsidiaries, licensees, and successors. These statistics and aggregate reports will not contain any information that could identify you personally.

How does MenEssentials protect your personal information?
We have adopted physical and technological processes and procedures to keep your personal information safe and secure. The personal information you provide when you establish an account, place an order, or otherwise register for services available from the Web Site, is secured using Secure Socket Layers ("SSL") encryption technology. We use SSL technology to prevent such information from being intercepted and read as it is transmitted over the Internet to our own servers. Only when it reaches the MenEssentials servers is your information decrypted and then stored on restricted access computers located at restricted access sites.

For additional security, MenEssentials hosts its Web Sites on privately owned servers and not on servers that are shared with other businesses.

For your complete security, your sensitive personal information (defined as financial or medical information under the terms of the Canadian Personal Information Protection and Documents Act) is never stored in any MenEssentials computer, or in the computers of trusted companies that act on behalf of MenEssentials. MenEssentials collects your financial (credit card) information only for the purposes of a single transaction and immediately deletes it upon completion of the sale. You consent to the collection of your sensitive personal information by providing it to MenEssentials only for the duration of the transaction.

Email is not encrypted and can be intercepted before it reaches MenEssentials. This is entirely outside of our control. We therefore recommend that you do not include sensitive personal information in the email messages you submit to MenEssentials. Once your email message reaches MenEssentials, it is stored on the recipient's computer only for as long as it is necessary to keep such information on file. Each MenEssentials computer is protected by a firewall (a software program that protects against hacking attempts), so the content of your email message is secure while on our computers.

Does MenEssentials use cookies?
When you visit the Web Site, you can surf it anonymously and access important information without revealing your identity.

We do, however, use "cookies" to improve the functional sophistication of our electronic commerce and online forum services. We do not use "cookies" to track your visit through the Web Site.

A cookie is a small amount of data that is transferred to your browser by our web server and can only be read by our web server. It functions only as your identification card. It cannot be executed as code or used to deliver viruses. It does not identify you personally, and you remain anonymous unless you otherwise provide MenEssentials Corporation with personal information.

Most browsers are initially set to accept cookies. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether or not to accept it. (For some web pages that require an authorization, cookies are not optional. Users choosing not to accept cookies will probably not be able to access those pages.)

Does MenEssentials use IP resolution technology?
When you visit the Web Site, we automatically log your IP address with our web analytics software. (An IP address is the unique address that identifies your computer on the Internet.)

We use IP addresses to help us administer our web site and to collect broad demographic information for aggregate use. We do not link IP addresses to personally identifiable information.

Does MenEssentials share the personal information it receives?
MenEssentials contracts with certain trusted companies to act on our behalf by performing such functions as fulfilling orders, delivering packages, processing credit card payments, and providing customer service. Those entities are provided with only the information needed to perform their specific function and they may not use your personal information for any other purpose. They are bound by contract to maintain the confidentiality and security of your personal information and are restricted from using such information in any way not expressly authorized by MenEssentials.

MenEssentials also allows its forum moderators to access your forum account information for the administration of your account and to uphold the rules and standards of the MenEssentials online forums. Forum moderators do not have access to personal information in your customer account, or personal information stored in our servers for the purposes of contests and promotions, or personal information stored in our servers for your MenEssentials monthly newsletter subscription. If you do not want our forum moderators to view personally identifying information in your online forum account, then do not provide such information during the account registration process.

Other than the conditions noted above, MenEssentials does not sell or rent specific personal information to any third party.

MenEssentials reserves the right to co-operate with local, provincial/state, and national officials in any investigation requiring either personal information — including any personal information provided online through the Web Site — or reports about lawful or unlawful user activities on the Web Site.

MenEssentials also reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time.
