At first I was skeptical about spending $20 for shaving cream when you can get "decent" cream for a lot less. However, after using this cream, I had absolutely NO irritation! I was shocked. Great stuff, worth the money! [I've only used with a brush, no direct contact of fingers to face].

I bought this based on James' suggestion and have been really pleased. the blade glides over the face very easily and it leaves my face moisturized. i highly recommend it.

This is just perfect with the razor bump relief. I feel like my skin and my razor are best friends now. Before, other shaving creams just dried out my skin and casued irritation. I know that now i have something i can turn to and feel confindent Barc will return the favor. i DONT just trust my skin to anyone.

This is far and away the greatest shaving cream ever produced. I use with a Merker DE and Barc Bump Down a few minutes after i shave and experience ZERO bumps, burn, or ingrowns. It took me a while to find this shaving cream, but after using it I will never buy anything else. 5/5

I tried this cream as a less expensive alternative to the Truefitt & Hill ultimate comfort that I normally use. I really gave it a go for a few weeks, but I found that the Barc cream doesn't lather as well nor does it lubricate as well as the T&H. It seems to stay too thick and combines with water very poorly. If you're spending this much money on cream already, go for the T&H.

This is as good as Cremo cream but unlike Cremo you can use this with a brush and it lathers. No need even with sensitive skin to use a pre-shave oil. This stuff is terrific and very slippery. The packaging is cheap and the lid doesn't fit well but with shave cream this good it really doesn't matter.

My skin feels soft after shaving, it's less irritated (and ingrown) and the shave is actually closer (even with the old cartridge razor I've used for years and thought I'd mastered). Use a good brush and take your time building lather, re-lather before each pass... it lubricates so well that even when I used the old cartridge razor I didn't feel the usual tug/drag, I barely felt anything at all. I will never use canned shaving gunk again unless I'm travelling. My skin is extremely sensitive and I'm hard to impress, but this gets my endorsement.

Great Product. I was using Truefitt & Hill ultimate comfort shave cream before I tried this product. Barc's seemed to have a slightly better edge when protecting my skin from nicks & irritation. However if you prefer to have a scented cream then I'd highly recommend T & H, because the differences are small. Still if you are looking for a good shave cream then give this a try, you won't be dissapointed. the cheaper price is also a bonus!!!

I have very sensitive skin and I have to be pretty careful about the cream/soap I use. I have been a Truefitt & Hill Ultimate Comfort Shaving Cream fan since I began using it a few years a go, but the price on this with James' recommendation made me try it. My impressions are:

Pro:
- close shave
- protects and lubricates as well as T&H
- no irritation
- cheaper than T&H

Con:
- it does not lather as well as the T&H
- while it leaves no scent, the cream has a medicinal fregrance

While I find it a good product, I find it doesn't lather as well with my brush so I do use a little more than T&H. While the shave is good, I don't find it any better than the T&H. I do miss the scent of the T&H -- I didn't realize this added so much to my shave.

In the end, while I think it's a good product, I will go back the the T&H.

I did not like this shaving cream at all. It smells soapy and leaves my skin feeling coarse and dry.
