I think this shave cream is a great product to use with your brush. It creates very thick lather, enough for two or three applications. I does not have specific scent.
The shave left my skin smooth and moisturized. Does not clog your razor and washes out from your brush well. It is much better than Baxters and Man-u shaving
creams. I would say it is very close to English creams.

I found this product to be perfect for my dopp kit or when I'm in the shower. I always get a good shave. However, I think there are better creams out there, and better priced.

No good without lathering with a brush. After lathering, you get a decently close but really healthy shave. You feel the moisturizing nourishing effects. Leaves the skin smooth and moisturized. overall, it's an above average product.

I was skeptical of this product before I ordered it. I had never used a shave cream. I was very surprised of how it worked. It really made my face slick and the blade glided over my skin. I love this stuff.

Nothing really great about this product. Goes on easily enough, but quickly dries up into a chalky film, making shaving with a DE hazardous. So start shaving immediately after application. Clean scent, but the overall shaving experience leaves something to be desired. And at this price range there are a ton of better shaving creams/gels.
Feel its really oposite of its description of being "thick and rich". Nowhere near being this.
Will never purchase again.

Nice, minty smell to it (thanks to the peppermint oil). Definitely not on par with traditional english creams, but one of the best brushless creams I've used (Sharps, Men-U, California North, Menscience), but below Cremo-cream. My face felt very smooth after only one pass. Good product for what you pay.

This is great stuff,plus the packaging by anthony is ny far the best,overall anthony products are the best overall not Baxters.there might be some bias here at menessentials buyer beware men

I have basically used only a few different shave creams including this one and Jack Black Beard Lube and some other cream called Heavy Duty or something. This product is great because I have a thick coarse beard that requires shaving in three directions in order to get all the hair directions as close to skin as possible. By the third pass Jack Black usually leaves my faces feeling pretty irritated and a little bloody whereas the Anthony's leaves it pretty uniritated. The shave is smooth and as mentioned before DOES NOT clog the razor like Jack Black or heavy duty. I might also add that I hand apply the cream not with a brush. I give this a pretty high rating based on my beard and I might add that my wife loves the scent because its clean and refreshing. I doubt its the VERY BEST but at some point you have to ask yourself how much better can it get. No cuts, irritation, and smooth shave is what you want and what you get with this particular cream.

To update my earlier post (from 12/06), this product is great with a brush, as well as brushless. The peppermint and eucaplytus oils provide a nice cooling sensation with a nice minty scent. I had enough lather for 3 passes and it stayed wet. There was no dryness or chalky-like disintegration of the lather. A very good product when used with a brush. My face felt very nice and cool afterwards.
I won't go so far as to say there's a bias towards Baxter, but I do prefer this to the Baxter Shaving Cream.
