This was my first experience with pre-shave oils, and I am not impressed. I tend to have a lot of nicks and irritation around the base of the neck and around the chin after shaving. While this did help reduce both, the product is incredibly thick and glue-like. It was a complete pain at cleanup, and made my DE blade useless afterwards as I couldn't get the cut hairs off of the blade. Made hairs stick to my sink instead of just washing down the drain. I still have the bottle, and I know what I'm in for if I use this. Perhaps I'll use it again if I'm desperate to get the best possible shave, otherwise not worth the trouble.

The trick is not to use a nickel or even dime sized amount. Use less. The oil is thicker so it will spread more evenly across the face with a smaller amount. Less oil will mean less clogging of razor and less in the sink.
