I ordered this set about a week ago and it arrived today. I was looking forward to receiving this set all week, as this will be my first DE Razor.
When I first opened my package, I thought a mistake was made with my order. You see, I found several components inside my package from different manufacturers. The stand is manufactured by Col. Conk, the badger brush by another company (unknown) made in the United Kingdom and then finally I found my Razor made by Merkur.
I was under the impression that this whole Razor Set was made by Merkur and therefore spent the big bucks to acquire it. I'm sure a similar set can be pieced together for a few dollars less.
Now to my first experience with the Merkur Razor... It's very tiny and does a great job! I took my time shaving, as I did not want to take parts of my face off.
By taking my time, I did not once cut into my face! I'm starting to really like shaving like my grandfather. Truly, a wonderful experience!
Overall, I highly recommend this set as the 3 pieces do fit very well together.

Great set! The stand is very good quality and complements the razor and brush perfectly. Very solid and high quality construction.

Sick set. Razor gives an unbelievable close shave and the brush makes a huge difference. A minute amount of shaving cream applied to the brush will cover your whole face. Very impressed

Simply awesome. This set was my introduction to wet shaving and it is great-I look forward to shaving now. Paying under $100 for an excellent razor, great brush and solid stand is a win in my books.

Simply an excellent trio. Great products for under $100. This is my first introduction to wet shaving and I love the way my face feels after my shave. NO IRRITATION for us guys with sensitive skin!!! I've never experienced a no irritation shave before my first shave with the Merkur HD. My old Mach III is now in the junk drawer "just in case" and the Fusion went flying into the garbage can. I'm glad I tried "old technology" and now I'm hooked! Thanks Men Essentials for the great products!
