Description
This elegant razor-and-brush set is, in our opinion, one of the best wetshaving values anywhere. Includes the magnificently hefty Parker deluxe super badger hair shave brush, a twist-to-open Parker 96R double edge safety razor, and chrome-plated brush-and-razor stand. The 96R razor features a stippled matte black handle, for no-slip shaving, and a nickel-plated head with brass core. For wetshaving novices and enthusiasts alike.

Please note that we do not accept returns of used razors.

What's So Great About a Brass Core?

  • Brass doesn't tarnish.
  • Brass contains copper, which restricts bacterial growth and makes the razor especially hygienic.
  • Brass is particularly impact resistant, so it's less likely to crack or split if you drop the razor.

Tips
To get the most out of your new razor, follow these tips:

  1. Hold the razor with your thumb and forefinger, directly underneath the razor head. That particular grip takes the place of a pivoting head and easily adjusts your razor to the contours of your face.
  2. Hold your razor at a thirty degree angle to your skin. That places the full face of the safety bar directly against your skin. This allows the razor blade to slice beard hair away with minimal (or no) irritation.
  3. Don't use long single strokes, as with cartridge razors; short repeated strokes work better.
  4. Expect a few minor nicks and scrapes for the first few days, while you get used to handling your new razor. After about a week, you'll be shaving like a pro.
