I recently purchased this product. I had never used a badger hair brush before. I did try a pure bristle brush for awhile several years ago and it did little for me. No comparison to badger hair. I was suprised by the difference a brush made when using a cream shave. Applied with a brush, my shave cream provides better glide and seems to do a much better job of softening my tough beard. This change in my routine, along with switching to a double-edged safety razor has pushed my 5:00 shadow back by several hours to bedtime.

This was my first badger hair brush and I have to say that it really is nice. I first was a little worried because of the stiffness of some of the bristles and the strange smell but after a few shaves the bristles are now very, very soft and the smell has become non-existent. This brush also has a great weight to it when you pick it up you can feel the quality of the metal used in the handle and the head is pretty large compared to others I have seen at a shaving store. I highly recommend getting this shaving brush as soon as possible! It is a GREAT deal!

Does a great job for the price. This is my first brush since my switch over from cartridges to wet shaving and unless you are looking to spend $100 on a brush, you can't go wrong with this one.
