I find this works well if my hair gets longer than an inch. I normally use Fiber on hair shorter than an inch. As it gets longer, Fiber is a bit too stiff, so I begin mixing it with more and more of this Classic Wax. Classic Wax is not as greasy as the Pomade, and doesn't leave a powdery residue like Matte. All these Crew products are water soluble and rinse out easily. In my experience, even wet hands dilute the effect of the products significantly. I apply them with dry hands to dry hair. Rub the product vigorously between the hands to soften and disperse any globs, and then through dry hair.
