I got to the last step of the checkout process, submitted my order, and suddenly found myself at the front page of your web site. What happened? Some firewall and anti-virus programs may prevent communication with our server during the encrypted portion of this checkout process. If this happens, temporarily disable your firewall or anti-virus program to complete the transaction. Please note that you may have firewalls on your computer and network router, and both should be disabled. If you disable your firewall or anti-virus program and checkout still doesn’t work, or if you're not familiar with security software, give us a call at our toll free number (877-449-6599) and we'll take your order by telephone.
I didn't receive my account or shipment confirmation emails? What gives? All of the big mail servers (Hotmail, MSN, Yahoo!, AOL) now have filters that identify our account and shipment confirmation emails as spam.
We have no control over this issue and cannot fix it from our end. To receive our emails, please add "service@menessentials.com" (without the quotes) to your email account address book or spam filter safe list.
My package didn't arrive. What do I do? Use your tracking number to trace your parcel. You will find your tracking number by viewing your order history. If the tracking information doesn't help, contact us and we'll hunt your order down for you or replace it if it's lost.
Do Canadians pay customs and duty on MenEssentials.com orders? No. Canadian orders placed through MenEssentials.com and MenEssentials.ca ship from our warehouse in Ottawa, Ontario. No customs or duty fees apply.
Are your products appropriate for sensitive skin? Most of the products in our collection are either allergy tested or hypoallergenic. This means they do not use harsh chemicals or heavy perfumes, which can irritate skin. If you have particularly sensitive skin, it's best to avoid any product that has a fragrance. We indicate whether a product is scented or fragrance free.
Should I follow your advice, rather than see a doctor, for my skin problem? Good God, no! Our articles are for entertainment and information purposes only. If you have a skin condition that requires medical treatment, then seek medical treatment.
Do you sell any of your products at wholesale prices? Yes, we distribute many of the products you see on our site to Canadian retailers and spa or salon owners. If you would like to receive our price sheet and an information kit that describes our products and men's professional spa treatments, contact us.
How do you select the products that you sell? To be included in our men's skin care collection, a product must contain the highest quality ingredients and work exactly as advertised. It should be allergy tested, cruelty-free (never tested on animals), distinctive in its application and appearance, and not harmful to the environment (recyclable packaging, etc.).
Do manufacturers pay to appear on your site? No. Unlike many larger online retailers, we recommend a brand because we believe in its quality — not because the manufacturer pays us to recommend it.
Do you accept advertising from other companies? No. If you represent a men's prestige skin care or grooming brand and would like to retail it on MenEssentials.com, contact our Vendor Relations department.
Why don't you offer an affiliate program? We made this decision early in the planning stages of our business, for two very important reasons. First, we could never hope to protect the integrity of the brands we carry if we were to enlist thousands of affiliates — most without any knowledge of men's skin care — to market our collection. Second, the cornerstone of our business is the personal relationship we establish with you, our customer. An affiliate program dilutes that relationship. Sure, we'd make buckets of cash; but valuable, long-term customer affiliations are more important to us than a few extra dollars.
