Secure Server, 128-bit Encryption
Our e-commerce platform uses a secure server encrypted with a 128-bit GeoTrust SSL certificate. Your personal information cannot be intercepted and decrypted by hackers. Gartner Group estimates that it would take every computer in the USA, working together, more than 4000 years to crack a 128-bit encrypted data transmission.
Our technology is infinitely more secure than handing your credit card to a waiter at a restaurant (the most common source of credit card fraud and identity theft), or providing your credit card information to a customer-service representative by telephone (an unsecured and easily intercepted communications technology).
Payment Gateway
MenEssentials uses PayPal Payflo Pro for real-time credit card authorization. Payflo Pro is a totally secure, market-leading payment gateway that connects our e-commerce platform to your credit card issuer's secure servers for the sole purpose of this single transaction.
How these Technologies Work Together
When you process a payment on our site, Payflo Pro uses our secure server to transmit the payment request to your credit card issuer. In response, your credit card issuer sends an authorization code to us via Payflo Pro, and we either approve or decline your order. At that moment, the networked technologies completely erase your credit card information. We never "see" it, nor do we store it on any of our computers or e-commerce databases.
This is the same process your bank uses when you withdraw money from your account through an ATM.
Your Credit Card Guarantee
Most credit card issuers cover all charges resulting from unauthorized use of your credit card or limit your liability to $50.
If your credit card issuer holds you liable for fraudulent use of your credit card, MenEssentials Corporation will cover your liability up to a maximum $50. However, you must be able to prove that the unauthorized use of your credit card resulted through no fault of your own and was a direct result of purchases made at MenEssentials.
In the event of unauthorized use of your credit card, you must notify your credit card issuer in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.
